Is the call to repentance and the assurance of forgiveness proclaimed in the gospel, of greatest importance during the season of Lent?

Wandering between these ancient and remarkably intact walls, I get the sense of community and hospitality once shared here.

As the sounds of visitors ebb and flow in the chapels around us, I wait. I feel the connection, the continuation of 900 years of worship.

Is rest & relaxation enough, family time in the sun sufficient? Many would say yes, it recharges my batteries, reminds me what's important.

We have a hope because knowing Jesus brings contentment regardless of material possessions and joy despite difficult circumstances.
